The dosage of sodium bicarbonate is 0.3 to 0.4 grams per kg of body weight . For someone weighing 70 kg, this equates to 21 to 28 grams.
The capsules should be taken in the hours prior to exercise , with the last capsules taken approximately 1.5 hours before the start .
To avoid stomach/intestinal discomfort, it's best to take the capsules at intervals, with a maximum of 5 to 6 grams of sodium bicarbonate per dose. Leave 15 to 20 minutes between doses.
Sodium bicarbonate may cause stomach and intestinal discomfort. To avoid these as much as possible, it's recommended to take the capsules with plenty of water each time (and ideally with a small meal as well).
So don't experiment with this on an important day , but test this several times beforehand during training!
