Prevention of contamination with prohibited substances
During our own production, processing, and storage, no anabolic or androgenic steroid hormones, doping products, or their precursors are used. Precursors are substances that can serve as starting materials for the formation of other substances.
Furthermore, we work with carefully selected and internationally renowned suppliers. Our purchasing policy and quality procedures are designed to keep the risk of contaminated raw materials as low as possible.
This approach helps us to prevent potential cross-contamination with prohibited substances within our production environment. Since 1985, we have paid particular attention to this as part of our quality policy for sports and nutritional supplements.
Production according to Belgian food safety regulations
Sanas holds authorization AER/OVL/002237 for the production, processing, and distribution of food products, including food supplements. This authorization has been in effect since January 1, 2016, under activity AC39: production of other food products.
Our activities fall under the supervision of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC).
Self-monitoring and HACCP at Sanas
Sanas operates according to a self-monitoring system in accordance with the applicable regulations of the FASFC. Such a system helps a producer to systematically identify, control, and manage potential food safety risks.
An important part of this is the HACCP principles. HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. Simply put, this means that potential hazards during the production process are investigated, and critical control points are established.
In this way, prevention, hygiene, control, and registration are part of the daily production process at Sanas.
